STANFORD, Calif. – All nine Stanford women’s tennis student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its academic awards on Monday. In addition, the collective group earned distinction as an ITA All-Academic Team.
In order to qualify for the honor, athletes needed to maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher during the current academic year. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the programs needed to have a 3.2 grade point average or higher.
The Cardinal finished its season, the first under Peter and Helen Bing Director of Women’s Tennis Frankie Brennan, with a 17-9 record, its 43rd consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and its 42nd trip to the Round of 16.
