First Cardinal on All-ACC Academic Women’s Golf Team

Five in Stanford's lineup earn academic honors from the ACC

STANFORD, Calif. — The Atlantic Coast Conference unveiled its 2024-25 All-ACC Academic women’s golf team on Tuesday morning. Stanford landed five women’s golfers on this year’s team, the first group of Cardinal to earn All-ACC Academic honors from the conference, capping off year one in the new conference.

The entire starting lineup for Stanford qualified for the All-ACC Academic women’s golf team. Megha Ganne and Kelly Xu led the way with their second conference academic award after landing on the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll last year. Three others earned their first conference academic awards: Paula Martín Sampedro, Meja Örtengren, and Andrea Revuelta.

Going back to the Pac-12 days, this gives Stanford 35 conference academic award winners since 2021.

To qualify for the All-ACC Academic women’s golf team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.0 GPA in the most recent semester or quarter and have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. In addition, a student-athlete must have been in the starting lineup in at least 50% of a team’s events during the 2024-25 season.
