Cardinal harriers begin five-meet regular season at end of August

STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford cross country returns to the starting line this fall, as the fall 2025 schedule was unveiled on Friday.

The Cardinal, who begin the campaign with its annual return to Golden Gate Park to end the month of August, will participate in five regular season meets in 2025, culminating in a return to the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships in Louisville, Ky. on October 31.

Stanford looks to repeat its success early in the season as the Stanford women’s team looks to repeat as champions at the USF Invitational while both squads look to repeat as team champions at Missouri’s Gans Creek Classic (Sept. 26).

The push to the postseason begins on October 3 as Stanford’s harriers travel to nearby Lodi, Calif. for the Pacific Collegiate XC Invite before a two week hiatus in preparation for a dual-meet weekend on October 17-18. Stanford’s final preparation for ACC’s begins on Friday, October 17th at Wisconsin’s Nuttycombe Invite before concluding the weekend with action at Santa Clara’s Bronco Invite in nearby Sunnyvale, Calif.

Stanford returns to the ACC Championships on October 31 after second-place team finishes for both the Cardinal men and women just a season ago in its conference debut. The postseason continues into November with the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento, Calif. on November 14 before the season ends with the NCAA Championships in Columbia, Mo. the following week on November 22.
