SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Matching its season-high with 10 aces, No. 6 Stanford swept Syracuse, 25-15, 25-16, 25-12, Sunday, at the Women’s Building.
Stanford (14-3, 5-1 ACC) hit .337 as a team and finished with 42 kills, 59 digs and 9.0 blocks. Syracuse (11-5, 3-3 ACC) hit .071 and had 25 kills, 48 digs and 3.0 blocks.
Middle blocker Lizzy Andrew hit .625 with a team-high 10 kills and four blocks. Outside hitter Elia Rubin added nine kills on .318 hitting, 12 digs, three aces and a solo block.
Setter Logan Parks controlled the offense with 32 assists and tallied seven digs, three blocks and two kills. Libero Spencer Etzler collected a career-high 20 digs.
Outside hitter Julia Blyashov registered nine kills, nine digs, three blocks and a career-high four aces. Middle blocker Erika Sayer added five kills and four blocks, while Jordyn Harvey had five kills, six digs and two aces.
Sophomore Sidney Duncan subbed into th4e match in the third set, recording her first collegiate kill on her first swing.
Stanford returns to The Farm next week, hosting Florida State on Thursday and Miami on Sunday.
