STANFORD, Calif. – Having led Stanford to a 2-0 week that included a 2-1 victory over No. 1 Virginia on Sunday, senior Jasmine Aikey has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week.
The conference weekly honor is the fourth in Aikey's career, including her second as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. She had previously been named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week once during the 2022 and 2023 seasons before earning ACC Defensive Player of the Week on September 17, 2024.
The Cardinal went 2-0 last week, posting a 5-0 shutout over Virginia Tech on Thursday before knocking off No. 1 Virginia 2-1 on Sunday.
Aikey scored a goal in each of Stanford’s two victories last week, including tallying the Cardinal’s first goal of the second half in Thursday’s win over the Hokies. She went on to score the match’s opening goal in the 27th minute to give Stanford an early 1-0 lead over the top-ranked Cavaliers - extending her scoring streak to four consecutive matches with a goal and five of her last six appearances.
Cal's Teagan Wy was named Defensive Player of the Week.
The Cardinal is now preparing for another big week in ACC play, as it travels to Florida State on Thursday for a 4 p.m. PT kickoff.
