STANFORD, Calif. - Chris Ayres, The Matt Gentry Head Wrestling Coach, and his staff have announced Stanford's 2025-26 schedule, including five home duals on The Farm.
The Cardinal will host an intrasquad meet on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 4:30 p.m. inside Fan Fest prior to Stanford football's homecoming game against Florida State.
Stanford will wrestle a total of 13 duals and compete in some of the nation's most competitive collegiate tournaments. The Cardinal opens the season on Nov. 1 at Utah Valley before traveling to perennial power Oklahoma State on Nov. 7.
After a meet at California Baptist on Nov. 15, Stanford will take a break from its dual schedule to wrestle at the Roadrunner Open (Nov. 23) and the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 5-6).
The Cardinal will head to Nashville before the holidays to face North Dakota State and Penn State on Dec. 20 and wraps up 2025 at the Midlands Championships on Dec. 29-30.
The home schedule includes duals against Iowa State (Jan. 4), Duke (Jan. 9), NC State (Jan. 16), Cal Poly (Jan. 30) and Pittsburgh (Feb. 15).
Virginia Tech will host the 2026 ACC Championships on Sunday, March 8. The NCAA Championships will be held March 19-21 in Cleveland.
Stanford returns five NCAA qualifiers, including All-Americans Daniel Cardenas (2024), Tyler Knox (2025) and Hunter Garvin (2024, 2025), to its roster in 2025-26.
The Cardinal opens the season ranked No. 12 in InterMat’s dual and tournament rankings. In total, seven Cardinal are ranked to start the season – No. 11 Nico Provo (125), No. 8 Tyler Knox (133), No. 24 Aden Valencia (141), No. 19 EJ Parco (149), No. 4 Daniel Cardenas (157), No. 5 Hunter Garvin (165) and No. 15 Lorenzo Norman (174).
