Forer Named MPSF Player of the Week

Sophomore scored six goals in 2-0 weekend

STANFORD, Calif. – Cardinal sophomore Ben Forer has been named MPSF Player of the Week, the conference announced this afternoon. Forer scored six goals in Stanford's 2-0 weekend, earning the honor for the first time in his career.

The native of Walnut Creek, Calif. scored four times in the Friday win over No. 2 California, assisting three times as well.

In the win over No. 6 UC Davis on Sunday, Forer followed it up with two goals and an assist.

Through 15 games this season, Forer is now second on the team in points (62), goals (39) and assists (23), with 11 multi-goal games.

Forer is the second Cardinal in a row to win the weekly award, after Botond Balogh earned the recognition last week.

Next up for Stanford is a Saturday game against No. 5 Fordham at Santa Clara. The top-5 bout will start at 1:00 p.m. PT.
