STANFORD, Calif. — After a dominating performance on the ground in Stanford’s win over Florida State, Cole Tabb has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Running Back and Rookie of the Week.
Tabb paced the Cardinal’s rushing efforts against Florida State, logging 28 carries for 118 yards and one rushing touchdown. Both efforts were career bests for the redshirt freshman from Fort Walton Beach, Fla, including his first-ever performance of over 100 yards on the ground. He is just the second Stanford running back since the 2022 season to rush for 100 yards in a single matchup.
Both weekly honors are the first for Tabb, who currently has the second-most rushing yards of any ACC first-year running back with 312 on the year (Nate Sheppard, Duke, 497 yards).
Tabb is the second Cardinal running back to win ACC Running Back of the Week (Micah Ford, Week 3), and the second Cardinal to win ACC Rookie of the Year since Stanford joined the ACC prior to the 2024 season.
Stanford heads back on the road this week to take on No. 9 Miami at 4 p.m. PT on Saturday, Oct. 25. The game will be televised on ESPN.
