Ganne Named Golfer of the Month

Two top five finishes, including a win, in October

STANFORD, Calif. — For the first time in her career, Megha Ganne has been named ACC Golfer of the Month, as announced by the conference on Friday morning.

Ganne dazzled during the month of October, helping Stanford win both stroke play tournaments it played. At the Stanford Intercollegiate, the Cardinal set the Stanford Golf Course women’s team record of -35 (817), and Ganne won the individual title after a birdie on the final hole. It was her third career tournament win, one of eight in program history to reach that milestone.

One week later in Hawaii, Ganne helped Stanford breeze to a win in the Nanea Invitational, shooting -44 (832) as a group, the third-lowest round in relation to par in Stanford history. Ganne finished in a tie for fifth overall at 8-under and gained 10 strokes over the final two rounds.

Her performances are even more impressive considering the fields Stanford competed in. At the Stanford Intercollegiate, 12 of the top 25 amateurs in the world were featured, while four other ranked teams joined the field at the Nanea Invitational.

Ganne is the third Cardinal to win ACC Golfer of the Month, joining Meja Örtengren (February 2025) and Andrea Revuelta (April 2025).

Stanford won’t be back in action as a team until February with the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate on Feb. 9-10. The team has three stroke play tournaments and one match play date scheduled before the ACC Championship in April.
