Paul A. Violich Director of Women's Swimming Chris Lindauer welcomes new recruiting class set to arrive to The Farm in 2026

STANFORD, Calif. - Five new signees are set to arrive on The Farm in 2026, as announced by Paul A. Violich, Director of Women's Swimming and Diving on Thursday.

KC Braeger, Taylor Klein, Alyce Lehman, Tanni Stevanato, and Clare Watson make up the newest Cardinal class joining the Stanford women's swimming & diving program next season. 


KC Braeger | Back/IM | Lakeside Swim Team | Louisville, Ky.

  • Named Honorable Mention in latest SwimSwam’s Girls’ Class of 2026 rankings
  • Three-time 2025 NCSA Summer Championships silver medalist (100 back, 200 back, 200 IM)
  • 2025 U.S. Nationals qualifier in the 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 back)
  • 2024 Speedo Winter Junior Championships silver medalist in the 200 medley relay
  • Kentucky State Champion in the 400 IM (2025)
  • 10-time Kentucky State Runner-Up (2025)
  • Four-time Kentucky All-State First Team (2022-25)
  • Three-time Regional Swimmer of the Year (2023-25)
  • Set to graduate from Christian Academy of Louisville
  • Daughter of Dena and Kenneth Braeger
  • Has five siblings: Sydney, Aden, Quintin, Reese, and Elijah
  • Sister, Sydney, currently swims at West Point and is the 200 butterfly record holder
  • Mother, Dena, also swam in college for West Point

  • 2024 Olympic Trialist in the 200 butterfly
  • Three-time All-American in the 100 fly (2023-25)
  • Three-time New Jersey All-State selection (2023-25)
  • Three-time Scholastic All-American (2023-25)
  • Set to graduate from Bishop Eustace Preparatory School
  • Daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Lehman

Tanni Stevanato | Free/Fly | Team Veneto | Venezia, Italy

  • Swims out of Team Veneto (2021-present)
  • Four-time Women’s Italian Junior Champion with Team Veneto (2022-25)
  • Two-time European Junior Championships gold medalist (2023, 2024)
  • Set European Junior Record in the 4x100 medley relay (2025)
  • 2025 Italian Junior Championships silver medalist in the 100 free
  • 2025 Italian Junior Championships bronze medalist in the 50 free
  • 2024 European Junior Championships champion and meet record-holder in the 4x100 free and 4x100 mixed free relays
  • 2023 World Junior Championships bronze medalist in the 4x100 mixed medley relay
  • Multiple-time Italian age group champion in the 50 and 100 free
  • Set to graduate from Liceo Classico Giuseppe Berto
  • Daughter of Francesca Mazza and Franco Stevenato
  • Has three siblings, Lodovico, Giovanni, and Allegra
  • Grandfather, Giorgio, was a 1964 Tokyo Olympics finalist in the 110-meter hurdles and earned 23 international caps from 1957-64
