The Opening Kickoff
- The 128th Big Game takes place on Saturday inside Stanford Stadium as Stanford hosts California. The game is televised on ACC Network and kicks off at 4:30 p.m.
- Stanford closes its 2025 season with two home games, finishing the year 0-6 away from home, the first winless season on the road by a Stanford team since 2002.
- The Cardinal has been a significantly better team at Stanford Stadium this year. All three of Stanford's wins have come at home, with the offense averaging twice as many points per game (25) as it has on the road (12.5). From a yards-per-game perspective, Stanford is averaging over 110 more yards per game at home (374.8) than on the road (264.2).
- The best tight end in the ACC is senior tight end Sam Roush. He leads all tight ends in the conference in receiving yards (458) and is just two receptions shy of having the most among ACC tight ends (43). Nationally, he ranks in the top 10 in both categories.
- CJ Williams has been one of the most consistent wide receivers in the ACC this season. He ranks fifth in the conference in receptions, eighth in receiving yards, and is one touchdown shy of the league lead. He has four 100-yard games this season, the first Cardinal to do so since 2018. • Stanford is one of two teams in the ACC with multiple running backs who are sophomores or younger with over 400 rushing yards. Micah Ford (493) and Cole Tabb (411) are the first Cardinal underclassmen to do this in the same season since 2010.
- The Cardinal forced four Pittsburgh turnovers in its last home game, the first time a Stanford defense has done so since the 2023 season finale against No. 17 Notre Dame.
- Stanford's defense has allowed the most trips to the red zone of any team in the country (48), but is 14th in opponents' red zone touchdown percentage (47.9%). That mark is third in the ACC. The current leader is North Carolina at 37.0%.
- Stanford has lost five of the last six Big Games, but won nine straight from 2010-18. The most recent Big Game win for the Cardinal came in 2020, and its last at home was in 2017. The Big Game is the sixth-most-played rivalry game in college football
