STANFORD, Calif. – Elia Rubin became the third Stanford player to hear her named called in the Major League Volleyball (MLV) Draft when the San Diego Mojo selected her with the second pick in the fourth round on Monday.
Rubin, an outside hitter from Santa Monica, joins 2023 selection Kendall Kipp (Round 3, Pick 1 – Columbus Fury) and 2024 pick Elena Oglivie (Round 4, Pick 5 – Grand Rapids Rise) as Cardinal players drafted to the MLV, formerly known as the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF).
The 26th overall pick, Rubin is a two-time AVCA All-American, including a first team honoree in 2024, and a three-time all-conference selection. A semifinalist for AVCA Player of the Year, she is the school record holder for career aces in the rally-scoring era to 25 with 145.
A science, technology and society major, Rubin is a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American and a three-time conference all-academic selection. She was also the ACC Co-Scholar-Athlete of the Year for volleyball in 2024.
