STANFORD, Calif. - No. 5 Stanford (25-4, 16-2 ACC) hosts Georgia Tech (16-11, 11-7 ACC) on Wednesday at 3 p.m. for Senior Day. The Cardinal then travels to No. 7 Louisville (24-4, 16-2 ACC) on Saturday to close out the regular season at 4 p.m. PT. Both matches will be streamed on ACCNX.
SERIES AGAINST THE YELLOW JACKETS: Stanford is 5-0 all-time versus Georgia Tech, including a sweep over the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta on Oct. 26. Prior to Stanford joining the ACC in 2024, the teams had not met since 1995.
SERIES AGAINST THE CARDINALS: Stanford is 2-4 all-time against Louisville, including a four-set loss on The Farm in October. The Cardinals have won two in a row, also defeating Stanford in four sets in the NCAA Regional Final at Louisville in 2024. Stanford won the most recent meeting at Maples Pavilion, a four-set victory on Nov. 30, 2024.
LAST TIME OUT: Stanford swept a pair of matches against rival California, improving to 88-12 all-time against the Bears. Outside hitter Julia Blyashov led the team with 3.83 kills on .322 hitting, 0.50 aces and 4.50 points per set. Sophomore setter Logan Tusher set the Cardinal offense to a combined .297 attack percentage, averaging 9.17 assists per set.
ACC TITLE RACE: The ACC title comes down to the final week of conference play as Stanford, Louisville and Pitt are currently tied at the top of the standings with 16-2 records in league play. Should the Cardinal win out and Louisville defeat Pittsburgh on Nov. 26, Stanford would claim the title outright. Should both Stanford and Pitt win out, there would be co-champions, and the Cardinal would receive the automatic qualification to the NCAA Tournament as it won the head-to-head meeting against the Panthers.
SENIOR LEADER: Outside hitter Elia Rubin is the only returning All-American on the Cardinal roster in 2025. Last season, she became the 23rd player in program history to register 1,000 career kills. Rubin is currently third on Stanford's career aces list with 145. In the rally-scoring era to 25, Rubin broke the school record for career aces on Nov. 8 against Duke.
HOME SWEET HOME: In nine seasons under Kevin Hambly, Stanford is 112-14 at Maples Pavilion, including 20-2 in the NCAA Tournament. The Cardinal won 32 in a row at home to begin Hambly's tenure at Stanford. The Cardinal is 26-2 at home in the last two seasons.
MLV DRAFT PICK: Outside hitter Elia Rubin was selected 26th overall in the Major League Volleyball (MLV) draft on Nov. 24. The Santa Monica native was taken as the second pick in the fourth round by the San Diego Mojo. She is the third Stanford player drafted to the MLV, formerly known as the Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF), joining Kendall Kipp (Round 3, Pick 1 – Columbus Fury) and Elena Oglivie (Round 4, Pick 5 – Grand Rapids Rise).
STATISTICAL RANKINGS: The Cardinal paces the conference in assists (13.25) and kills (14.05) per set, ranking 10th and 17th in the NCAA, respectively. Stanford is second in the ACC in aces (1.74), third in hitting percentage (.300), and blocks (2.52) and digs (13.68).

COACHES' PICK: In its second season in the ACC, Stanford was picked to finish third by the league's coaches. Combining with its Pac-12 history, Stanford has finished in the top 4 in league play in 39 of the past 40 seasons, and the top 3 in 37 of 40 campaigns.
BY THE NUMBERS: Stanford has won more NCAA titles (9), more NCAA Tournament matches (141), made more Final Four appearances (23) and been in the national championship match (17) more times than any other program in the nation. The Cardinal has qualified for 43 of the 44 NCAA Tournaments all-time.
COACHING EXCELLENCE: Kevin Hambly became the seventh head coach in Division I women’s volleyball to lead a school to back-to-back NCAA titles. Hambly is now 224-45 (.830) in nine seasons on The Farm, mentoring 14 AVCA All-Americans to 29 awards and seven Academic All-Americans (nine awards).
THE HAMBLY FILE: Kevin Hambly coached 12 AVCA All-Americans to 19 honors during his time at Illinois and has now mentored 26 All-Americans to 48 awards. He is the third head coach to lead Stanford to a national championship. The two-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year became the first Cardinal head coach (any sport) to win an NCAA title in one of his first two seasons on The Farm since 2005.
