The Opening Kickoff
- Stanford football plays its final road game of the 2025 season on Saturday in Chapel Hill, with a date against the North Carolina Tar Heels at 1:30 p.m. PT on The CW.
 - The Cardinal has lost 10 consecutive road games dating back to last season. Stanford is looking to avoid its first winless season away from home since 2002.
 - Stanford needs just one win in the final three games to reach the four-win mark for the first time since 2020.
 - CJ Williams caught seven passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns against Pittsburgh. It is the fourth time this season Williams has eclipsed 100 receiving yards in a game, becoming the first Stanford wide receiver to do so since J.J. Arcega-Whiteside in 2018. His two-touchdown game was also the first for Stanford in 2025.
 - Sam Roush led Stanford in receptions against Pittsburgh, catching eight passes for 104 yards. It is the first 100-yard game in his collegiate career, becoming just the eighth different Stanford tight end to reach 100 receiving yards in a game since 1995.
 - Brandon Nicholson picked off Mason Heintschel of Pittsburgh in the end zone twice, keeping Stanford within striking distance against Pittsburgh. His interceptions were the first for Stanford since Sept. 13 against Boston College. Nicholson became the first Stanford player with multiple interceptions in a game since Paulson Adebo against Arizona on Oct. 26, 2019.
 - The Cardinal forced four Pittsburgh turnovers in its last game, the first time a Stanford defense has done so since the 2023 season finale against No. 17 Notre Dame.
 - Stanford's defense has allowed the most trips to the red zone of any team in the country (48), but is 14th in opponents' red zone touchdown percentage (47.9%). That mark is third in the ACC. The current leader is North Carolina at 37.0%.
 - Frank Reich and Bill Belichick meet as opposing head coaches for the first time since 2022. Reich is 1-2 against Belichick as a head coach, but was the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles when they beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.
