Di Martire, Temkin, Balogh, Gheorghe and Schneider all earn ACWPC honors

STANFORD, Calif. – Five members of the Cardinal earned ACWPC All-America selections today, extending a streak of multiple Stanford representatives on All-America teams in each year since 1975. Gianpiero Di Martire earned First Team honors to lead the Cardinal delegation.

Di Martire finished third on the team in points (96), goals (56) and assists (40). The fifth-year senior previously earned second team honors in 2022 at UCLA.

Senior goalie West Temkin earned honors for the second season in a row, joining Botond Balogh on the second team. Temkin finished second in the MPSF West with 213 saves, making 12 or more saves in five games and 10 or more in eight. Balogh earns the honor in his sophomore season after leading the team in points (119) and goals (73). The goal total was second in the MPSF West, and his 46 assists were good for fourth.

The Cardinal landed a pair of centers on the list, with junior Alex Gheorghe landing on the third team and Will Schneider earning an honorable mention spot. Gheorghe finished the season with 42 goals, and earned 50 exclusions on the year. The 50 exclusions drawn were second only to Schneider’s 63, the fourth most in the MPSF. Schneider finished with 19 goals, appearing in all 26 games for the Cardinal.
