STANFORD, Calif. – Turning in a historic season that has Stanford in the College Cup for the third consecutive year, senior Jasmine Aikey has been named 2025 TopDrawerSoccer Player of the Year.
Aikey leads the team in total points with 51, including a team-high 20 goals (six game-winners) and 11 assists. The 20 goals, fourth-most nationally this season, rank tied for fifth in a single season in program history, while her 51 points are fifth in Stanford history and one short of the national leader this season. Aikey has contributed 42 career goals to rank tied for ninth in Stanford history, while her 113 points rank 10th.
In addition to Player of the Year, Aikey has been named All-Region first team, All-ACC first team, ACC Championship MVP and ACC All-Tournament, and is a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist. The native of Palo Alto, Calif. has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week twice this season, has a goal in 15 of the 23 contests this year, and has contributed at least a point in 19 of the 23 matches. Aikey owns five multi-goal matches this season, including posting a brace in two of Stanford’s four NCAA Tournament matches entering the College Cup.
Showing a knack for scoring in big games, Aikey owns 11 postseason goals to rank third in Stanford history, while her nine postseason assists rank second. Moreover, Aikey has recorded a goal contribution in all 12 of her career NCAA tournament games.
Aikey is the fourth Stanford player to be named TopDrawerSoccer Player of the Year, and runs the Cardinal’s overall total to five selections.
Teresa Noyola won the inaugural award in 2011 after providing 15 assists and scoring nine goals, including the College Cup winner over Duke, for the Cardinal.
The 2017 honoree, Andi Sullivan captained Stanford to the College Cup trophy that year, scoring once in the final 3-2 victory over UCLA. She finished the year with three goals and six assists while patrolling the Stanford midfield.
As one of the best players in college soccer history, Catarina Macario earned top honors in 2018 and 2019. Macario was simply unstoppable during her three-year stint at Stanford, capped by a junior campaign where she scored 32 goals and assisted on 23 more to lead the Cardinal to the 2019 College Cup title. Before that, she contributed 17 goals and 16 assists as a freshman on the 2017 championship team, then won the 2018 Player of the Year award after scoring 14 goals with eight assists to lead Stanford to another College Cup appearance.
Aikey and the Cardinal will continue the pursuit of a fourth national title when Stanford meets No. 2 seed and 11th-ranked Duke on Friday at 5:45 p.m. PT in a semifinal match from the 2025 NCAA Women's College Cup in Kansas City, Mo.
