Stacked Weekend for Stanford

44 student-athletes will compete across two meets this weekend

STANFORD, Calif. - A busy weekend awaits the Stanford track & field program, as 44 student-athletes will represent the Cardinal across two meets this weekend

Stanford’s distance runners will travel east to compete at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University at the BU Track & Tennis Center.

Leading the Cardinal contingent are Juliette Whittaker and Zane Bergen, who each set Stanford program records in the 1,000 meters earlier this month at the UW Preview.

The women’s events will take place Friday, Jan. 30, followed by the men’s competition on Saturday, Jan. 31. Both sessions are scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. PT and run through approximately 5:45 p.m. PT.

The meet will be streamed live on FloTrack, with live results available via Lancer Timing Services.

Meanwhile, the remainder of the Cardinal squad will stay on the West Coast, competing in Albuquerque for the second-consecutive weekend as the University of New Meixco plays host to the New Mexico Team Open.

Jumpers Xavier Drumgoole and Alaysia Oakes each had strong showings last weekend at the Albuquerque Convention Center, setting new indoor personal bests in the triple jump to move into the top 10 in Stanford program history.

Competition in New Mexico begins at 2 p.m. PT on Friday and resumes Saturday at 8:30 a.m. PT. The meet will also be available to watch on FloTrack, with live results provided by RT Timing.
