STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 13 Cardinal is back for a second weekend tournament at the newly-opened Stanford Softball Stadium, hosting four-days of competition at the Cardinal Classic I.
Stanford opens the weekend against Kentucky at 6:00 p.m. PT, before hosting busy tournament days Friday through Sunday.
New Home Sweet Home » The Cardinal enters year one in Stanford Softball Stadium coming off of a 2025 season played in the regular home of Stanford Football. The Card went 5-0 in the stadium's first weekend.
- While playing at Stanford Stadium the Card went 22-4 and broke the NCAA softball single-game attendance record with 13,207 fans in attendance on April 19 against California.

Taryn Torching » Taryn Kern posted a near-perfect first weekend, finishing the five-game stretch 11-for-15 with seven extra base hits and nine runs scored.
- The Card's leadoff hitter posted a .733/.778/1.400 slash line, good for a staggering 2.178 OPS.
- Kern finished the weekend with at least one hit and one run scored in each game
- The senior earned the first ACC Player of the Week award of the season for her efforts.
Welcome to The Farm » Addyson Sheppard made an immediate impact in her first collegiate action, finishing the first weekend 6-for-13 at the plate.
- Sheppard finished with five RBI and a pair of runs scored, smacking a pair of doubles as well.
- The freshman hit her first career home run as well, en route to a .846 slugging percentage.
- Sheppard earned the first ACC Freshman of the Week award of the season for her efforts.
Stellar Staff in the Circle » The Card was sharp in the circle all weekend, with the five-person rotation posting a 2.48 ERA across 31 innings of work.
- Zoe Prystajko had a pair of career outings, striking out nine against Oklahoma State on opening day and 10 against Cal on the eighth.
- Prystajko owns a 2-0 record and a 1.31 ERA in 10.2 innings pitched.
- Alyssa Houston posted a pair of saves and a win, striking out 10 in 6.2 scoreless innings across three appearances.
- Elena Krause went 2-0 in the opening weekend, posting a 5.25 ERA in 8.0 innings.
