STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford field hockey earned another postseason accolade with 22 student-athletes being recognized for their work off the pitch by being named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) DI National Academic Squad, the organization announced Wednesday.
Stanford produced 22 names on this season’s list, slotting just two shy of tying for the most by any program in the nation and increasing its total from a season ago by one student-athlete. The NFHCA National Academic Squad recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher during the latest academic quarter/semester and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
The Cardinal, which produced 21 student-athletes to the National Academic Squad in 2025, awaits three more academic awards from the NFHCA in the coming weeks. Having garnered three NFHCA Scholars of Distinction in 2025, the Cardinal awaits this season’s honorees to be announced on Friday, February 13 while the NFHCA National Academic Team and National Scholar-Athlete awards will be announced on February 17 and 19, respectively.
