ATLANTA — After the Cardinal narrowly missed out on sending two divers to the 1-meter finals on Sunday, Misha Andriyuk advanced to the final of the 3-meter dive on Monday at the 2026 ACC Championships. He finished eighth overall, his best career finish in the event.
Andriyuk advanced to the finals of a springboard event at the ACCs for the first time in his career. All six of his dives in the prelims were top five within the round, but his scores got higher the longer the round went. He saved his most difficult dives for last, beginning with a reverse 3 ½ somersault tuck in his fourth dive that scored 70 points, finishing third in the round. Arguably his best dive came in the fifth round, where he scored 71.40 on a forward 2 ½ somersault 2 twist pike.
The 407.40 scored by Andriyuk is the second-most he has scored in the 3-meter dive this season, and was within ten points of Matteo Santoro of Miami for the lead.
Grant Schneider finished 20th in the prelims with a collegiate-best 325.55 over his six dives. He came out of the gates with a strong start on a forward 2 ½ somersault 1 twist pike that scored 63 points, the fourth-best dive in the opening round.
Stanford will not repeat as ACC champions in the 3-meter dive. Jack Ryan won the event last year for the Cardinal in its ACC debut.
