Four Named USTFCCCA All-Academic

Cardinal teams named All-Academic while four harriers earn individual accolade

STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford cross country earned its final off-the-course acknowledgment for the fall 2025 season with four harriers garnering USTFCCCA All-Academic honors while both the men’s and women’s teams were named All-Academic teams, the organization announced Monday.

Stanford showed well as a team and individually with both teams being named USTFCCCA All-Academic teams. In order to qualify, teams must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale including the most recent grading period. The Stanford men posted a 3.35 GPA while the women earned a 3.41 GPA.

Stanford’s four individual honorees include Amy Bunnage, Sophia Kennedy, Mena Scatchard and Riley Stewart. In order to qualify for the honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional championships or earn All-American honors at the NCAA Championships.

Bunnage and Kennedy led the way for Stanford at the NCAA West Regional as the Cardinal claimed its 13th West Region title with both harriers earning fourth and fifth place overall, respectively. Following Stanford’s top-five duo, Scatchard claimed 10th overall while Stewart followed behind her with an 18th place finish. All four runners were named All-West Region following their outings in Sacramento.

The quartet also headlined a Stanford contingency that placed sixth overall at the NCAA Championships at the Gans Creek Cross XC Course in Columbia, Mo. Both Bunnage and Kennedy earned All-American honors for the Cardinal with top-35 placements in the race.

All four harriers have earned multiple All-Academic honors from the organization led by Riley Stewart’s sixth honor overall and third in cross country. Bunnage is now a three-time USTFCCCA All-Academic member for cross country while Sophia Kennedy takes home her third cross country All-Academic honor as she now has been named USTFCCCA All-Academic for a fifth time. Scatchard’s placement on the list is her second during her collegiate career and first in cross country.
