ATLANTA - No. 2 Stanford swimming & diving added two conference medalists finishes on day six of the ACC Championships on Friday evening.
Caroline Bricker reached the podium for the first time as an individual this week, finishing third in the 200 fly final with a season-best 1:52.46. Charlotte Hook also posted her fastest time of the year with a 1:54.92 in the "A" final, coming in sixth. Emily Thompson finished 15th overall with a 1:57.96 in the "B" final, while Ella Detter finished as a runner-up in the "C" final with a 1:57.41 effort.
Lucy Bell also captured a bronze medal in the 100 breast, clocking a 57.74 in the event finals. Lucy Thomas finished second in the "B" final with a 58.59 effort, while Addie Robillard broke the 59-second barrier to finish 11th overall with a 58.84. Robillard's mark moves her into seventh in program history in the event, her first appearance in the Stanford Top 10.
Alana Berlin was Stanford's top finisher in the 100 backstroke, finishing second in the "C" final and 18th overall with a 51.96 swim. The night concluded with the 400 medley relay, where the Cardinal were disqualified due to an early take-off.
Stanford heads into the final day of competition sitting third in the team standings with 798 points, trailing Virginia (1028.5) and California (860.5).
The ACC Championships conclude Saturday with the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, and 400 free relay. Prelims begin at 6:30 a.m. PT, followed by the finals at 2:30 p.m. PT.
