Stanford Opens 2026-27 Against Arizona in Las Vegas

Cardinal and Wildcats will meet on Monday, November 2 at T-Mobile Arena as part of the Hall of Fame Series Opening Night

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford will open the 2026-27 season against Arizona on Monday, November 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as part of the Hall of Fame Series Opening Night, it was announced Wednesday.

Position Sports, in partnership with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, announced the four-game event, marking the fourth consecutive year the Hall of Fame Series has been held in Las Vegas following a near sellout in 2025. Other games include Arizona against UCLA and Gonzaga against Purdue on the men’s side, and USC against UNLV on the women’s side.

All games will be nationally televised across TNT Sports' networks and platforms, with additional broadcast details and game times to be announced at a later date. Stanford is 75-15 all-time against Arizona, its biggest win coming in the NCAA final on April 4, 2021, 54-53, to deliver the Cardinal its third national championship. This upcoming meeting will be just the third in which the Wildcats and Stanford are not in the same conference and first since Dec. 3, 1980 when Stanford was in the Northern California Athletic Conference and Arizona the Western Collegiate Athletic Association.

Stanford is 23-5 all-time in the Las Vegas area, its most recent visit coming in the Resorts World Classic at Resorts World with games against FGCU (L, 62-66) and Colorado State (W, 62-60) in late November 2025. As a Pac-12 member, the Cardinal was 14-3 at the Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas, winning three titles in games at both Michelob ULTRA Arena and MGM Grand Garden Arena from 2019-24.
