CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For a conference-record-matching seventh time this season, senior gymnast Anna Roberts has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s (ACC) Gymnast of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
She now shares the record for most conference awards in a single season with Emily Shepard (NC State), set in 2024.
Her 39.550 all-around total against No. 5 UCLA was the best all-around mark by any conference gymnast this week, while six of her eight all-around performances this season have gone 39.500 or better. Roberts’ all-around score was highlighted by her second consecutive 9.975 bars total, the only conference gymnast to reach that score on the apparatus. She also scored a 9.925 on floor to win a share of the event title, marking her seventh routine this season on the apparatus to score 9.900 or better. She is the top-ranked all-around athlete in the ACC, fifth in the nation, and also ranks first in the conference on beam, second on bars, third on floor, and sixth on vault, the only conference athlete to have top-six rankings on all events and in the all-around.
No. 10 Stanford has a two-meet week ahead, taking on No. 16 California and San Jose State Friday night in a tri-meet in Berkeley, Calif., while hosting Boise State Sunday afternoon at Maples Pavilion for Senior Day. Friday’s meet is set for a 7:30 p.m. start, while Sunday’s is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Both meets will be available on ACCNX.
