Fitzmorris, Pulice Earn NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships

Annually-awarded scholarships support graduate studies

STANFORD, Calif. – Audriana Fitzmorris (women’s volleyball) and Tanner Pulice (men’s water polo) have been awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships, the NCAA announced today. Each year, the NCAA awards up to 126 postgraduate scholarships to student-athletes who have completed their final year of athletics competition.

The scholarships are distributed three times annually — in the fall, winter and spring — providing 21 scholarships each to men and women per season. The award is a one-time, nonrenewable scholarship intended to support graduate study at an accredited institution.

A 2020 graduate, Fitzmorris helped lead the Cardinal to three NCAA Championships, four Final Four appearances and three Pac-12 titles during her time on The Farm. A four-time All-American, she finished her career ranked fifth in program history with 613 blocks and ninth with 1.28 blocks per set. A human biology major, Fitzmorris was a CoSIDA Academic All-American and a three-time academic all-conference pick.

Pulice spent three seasons on The Farm after transferring from UCLA, finishing his Cardinal career this fall. The Newport Beach native appeared in 47 games, scoring 39 goals in the span. Pulice graduates with a degree in public policy, and boasts four ACWPC All-Academic honors.

Pulice is the second recipient in as many years from Stanford men’s water polo. Riley Pittman earned the same honor last March.

Established in 1964, the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship program promotes and encourages graduate education by recognizing the Association's most accomplished student-athletes. The program evaluates candidates on their athletic and academic achievements, campus involvement, community service and leadership.
