PHILADELPHIA – For the first time since 2019, Stanford squash is through to the CSA National Championship semifinal. The Card topped No. 6 Virginia 7-2 to advance ahead to a matchup with No. 2 Penn tomorrow.
The Cardinal got going quickly, sweeping wins on courts three, five and nine thanks to Zhi-Xuan Goh, Riya Shankaran and Valerie Huang, respectively.
Tiana Parasrampuria won a battle in four sets on court seven, setting the stage for Riya Navani to clinch the day with a sweep on court two.
Mariana Narvaez Dardon and Maeve Baker closed it out with late wins for the 7-1 final.
With the win, the Cardinal has now won seven straight, including four top-10 victories. The 11-2 record on the year also marks the most single-season wins by the team since winning 16 in 2017-18.
