Card Adds Bernardo Herzer

Two-time All-American transfers to The Farm

STANFORD, Calif. – The Cardinal has added former USC goalkeeper and two-time All-America selection Bernardo Herzer, The Dunlevie Family Director of Men's Water Polo Brian Flacks announced today. In three seasons with the Trojans, Herzer appeared in 58 games and made 480 saves.

Herzer earned ACWPC All-America First Team honors in 2024, when he appeared in 25 games for the Trojans. Herzer averaged 9.3 saves per game, earning NCAA and MWPSF All-Tournament Team honors.

In 2023 Herzer earned All-America Honorable Mention distinction, averaging 9.6 saves in 19 games. The then-redshirt freshman finished with double-digit saves in nine games, including 10 in the MPSF final and NCAA semifinal.

Last season Herzer appeared in 14 games for the Trojans, making 79 saves for a 5.6 per game average.

Herzer is originally from Los Angeles, attending Mira Costa High School.
