- Top-ranked Stanford women’s golf heads east for the 2026 ACC Championship on April 16-19.
- This year’s ACC Championship takes place at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, N.C and plays as a par-72.
- The ACC Championship follows a similar format to the NCAA Championship. It will feature three rounds of stroke play and three rounds of match play. ACCNX will televise the semifinals and finals of match play.
- Florida State is the defending champion of the ACC. They finished stroke play as the second seed and won both rounds of match play, including a championship win over fourth-seeded Wake Forest, 3-2. It was the program’s first ACC women’s golf championship.
- Six different schools have won the ACC Championship. Duke leads the way 22, followed by Wake Forest (8), North Carolina (2), Virginia (2), Clemson (1), and Florida State (1).
- Stanford earned the top seed following stroke play in last year’s ACC Championship, tying an ACC record of 27-under (837), matching Virginia’s score from 2015.
- Andrea Revuelta won the first tournament of her collegiate career by tying an ACC Championship record score of 202 (-14), beating Amanda Sambach of Virginia by two strokes for individual medalist honors.
- The win for Revuelta was the first of consecutive postseason wins for the freshman, who would go on to win the NCAA Norman Regional a few weeks later.
- All five Cardinal finished in the top-20 during stroke play last season. Meja Örtengren finished in a tie for seventh, Paula Martín Sampedro and Megha Ganne tied for 11th, and Kelly Xu finished in a tie for 19th. The Cardinal was the only team with all five golfers in the top-30.
- Despite the strong showing in stroke play, Stanford fell 3-2 to Wake Forest in the semifinals of match play, failing to reach the championship round.
- Stanford’s last team event of the regular season came at the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational on March 23-24, where the Cardinal won by three strokes over No. 7 Oregon and 11 strokes over No. 11 Duke.
- It was another successful spring for Stanford, winning all three stroke play tournaments it entered. The only defeat the team suffered came at the annual Battle of the Bay against San Jose State (4-2 match play defeat). Stanford also had two individual winners (Martín Sampedro and Revuelta)
- Stanford’s lineup for the 2026 ACC Championship is: Paula Martín Sampedro, Andrea Revuelta, Megha Ganne, Meja Örtengren, and Kelly Xu. Anna Song is the team’s alternate.
