STANFORD, Calif. – Zoe Prystajko has been named ACC Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced today. Prystajko went 3-0 on the weekend, earning the win in each game as Stanford swept NC State.
The sophomore finished with 8.1 innings pitched across three relief appearances, allowing just two runs on two hits. Prystajko struck out eight and walked two for a 0.48 WHIP, complemented by a 1.68 ERA.
The weekend bolstered an already strong season by the Huntington Beach, Calif. product. Prystajko leads the ACC in strikeouts (167), hits allowed per seven innings (4.59), and appearances (33), and is in the top three in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.71), victories (15) and strikeouts per seven innings (9.8).
Prystajko earns the honor for the second time this season, giving the Cardinal five total selections on the year. Prystajko joins Taryn Kern (Player of the Week) and Addyson Sheppard (two-time Freshman of the Week) as Stanford selections.
