All-Conference Cardinal

The MPSF selected six Stanford gymnasts for all-conference honors on Monday

STANFORD, Calif. - Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) named six Stanford gymnasts to the all-conference team, as announced by the MPSF office on Monday afternoon.

The top performing gymnast from each school in each event at the MPSF Championships earned automatic all-conference selections, along with one additional at-large selection per event based on the highest-scoring gymnast remaining, regardless of team.

Asher Hong led the Cardinal with three honors each, followed by Nick Kuebler with recognition in two events. Jun Iwai, Cooper Kim, Marcus Pietarinen, and David Shamah rounded out the group, earning one selection each.

Hong, the MPSF Gymnast of the Year, won the still rings title for the third consecutive year with a season-best 14.550 routine, adding a third-place effort on parallel bars (14.250) and a fourth-place vault routine (14.000).

MPSF Specialist of the Year Nick Kuebler collected a pair of podium finishes over the weekend, turning in the second-place score on still rings with a 14.150, and adding a third-place 14.200 performance on floor exercise.

Kim earned his first all-conference honors by winning the MPSF crown on floor exercise with a 14.400. David Shamah (parallel bars) and Jun Iwai (high bar) finished runner-up in their respective events, while Pietarinen scored 13.300 on pommel horse as Stanford's best performer in the event.

Stanford is set to finish the 2026 season at the NCAA Championships on April 17-18 in Champaign, Ill., as the Cardinal looks to secure its 11th national title in program history.
