No. 14 Stanford is set for NCAA Championship competition this weekend, heading to Oklahoma for the NCAA Stillwater Regional. The Cardinal opens on Friday against Princeton, kicking off the three-day double-elimination tournament. On the other side of the bracket is Eastern Illinois and the host Oklahoma State. 

Stanford heads into the competition on a high note, winning 15 of the last 16 games and sitting at 37-13 overall.


Last Time in Stillwater // The Cardinal is in Stillwater, Okla. for the first time since March of 2022, when the Card competed in the OSU/Tulsa Invitational.

  • Stanford went 3-2 in the tournament, including a 1-1 split with then-No. 8/10 Oklahoma State.

Consistent Card // Stanford advances to the postseason for the seventh-straight season in 2026, and 23rd time in program history.

  • Stanford owns a 63-51 all-time record in the NCAA tournament, including a 22-15 mark in Allister's tenure.
  • The win total brought the Card's all-time record to 1,170-708-2 (.622).
  • The Cardinal has now won 30+ games in six-straight seasons, and is three shy of eclipsing 40 wins for the fourth-straight season.

Regional history // Stanford is competing at NCAA Regionals for the seventh-straight season. Last year, the Cardinal failed to advance to Super Regionals for the first time since the 2021 season.

  • Stanford is 49-30 all-time in Regional competition, and 14-8 under Allister.
  • Last season, Stanford went 2-2 at the NCAA Eugene Regional.

Wisdom in Experience // The Cardinal's senior class has played in 11 NCAA Regional games in their Stanford careers, racking up eight wins and advancing to Super Regionals twice.

  • In the last three postseasons, the Cardinal has gone a combined 16-8
  • Stanford has recorded run-run wins four times and posted seven shutouts.

ACC Honorees // The Cardinal landed six on All-ACC teams last week, led by three first team selections.

Jade Berry the RBI Machine // Jade Berry has continued to be a massive run producer for the Cardinal, now in her third season on The Farm.  

  • The junior is leading the team in RBI for a second-straight season, with 45 in 2026 after 60 in 2025.
  • As a freshman, Berry finished just three shy of the team lead with 38.
  • Berry's 143 career RBI are the most among active Stanford hitters, and the 10th most in program history.
  • Last season, Berry became one of just four players in program history to drive in 60 or more runs.
  • This year, Berry has hit fewer home runs (4) than in her first two seasons (7 in 2024 and 14 in 2025), but leads the team with career highs in both doubles (16) and triples (5).
  • Berry's 88 total bases are the third-most on the team.

Gall Can Ball // Ava Gall was on a tear at the plate in April, moving up to third on the team with a 1.081 OPS.

  • In the month of April, Gall slashed .429/.560/.657.
  • Gall led the team with 12 walks in the month, only striking out three times.
  • The 12 walks to three strikeouts in the month represent a massive improvement from 13 walks to five strikeouts in her first 25 games of the season.
  • Gall's .560 OBP in the stretch was the most on the team, and the batting average was second-best behind only Jones.
  • Heading into the postseason, Gall is slashing .368/.496/.585 – all three are career highs in her third season on The Farm.
  • Gall has managed to improve her batting average, OBP, slugging % and OPS in each season.

Ice Cold River // Stanford brings plenty of postseason experience to the plate in 2026, led by River Mahler.

  • Mahler leads all active Stanford players in career postseason games played (24), at-bats (56), runs scored (13), RBI (14) and walks (14), and is tied for the lead in hits (14) and triples (2).
  • The senior enters the postseason slashing /.329/.383/.443, with 38 RBI and 70 total bases
