Cardinal Leads MPSF with 10 All-Academic Selections

All 10 members of Stanford's NCAA Runner-Up starting lineup named to the MPSF All-Academic Team

STANFORD, Calif. -- In Stanford's second season competing in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, 10 student-athletes from the Stanford beach volleyball team were recognized for their academic achievements, earning spots on the MPSF All-Academic Team, the conference announced Tuesday. 

Stanford’s 10 awardees were the most in the league, with Oregon just behind with nine honorees, while Grand Canyon (7), LSU (7), UCLA (7), USC (6), Texas (6), California (5), San Jose State (5) and Washington (4) rounded out the list.

Academic requirements for selection to the MPSF All-Academic Team are a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (including the current semester/quarter) during one’s academic career and at least one year of residency at the university prior to the season for which the award is received. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
