Walker Returns to WGCA Watch List

Yearly award honors the best coach in women's golf

FRISCO, Texas — The Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women's Golf, Anne Walker, has been named to the watch list for the Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride.

20 of the best head coaches in the country earned a spot on the watch list. Recognized as the highest annual coaching honor in women's collegiate golf, the Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride is awarded annually to the top coach in Division I, II, III, and NAIA women's golf.

Stanford is in the midst of another incredible season as the top-ranked team in the country. Heading into the NCAA Regionals, Stanford is 86-3 against the field this year, the only team in the country with fewer than 10 head-to-head losses. The Cardinal has already won six stroke play tournaments this season, including the program's first ACC Championship.

Walker is no stranger to this sort of recognition. She is a three-time recipient of the Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride, winning the award after all three of Stanford's national championships. Last year, she was named the Golfweek Coach of the Year.

The recipient of the Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride will be announced after the 2026 NCAA Championship.
