CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 14 Stanford’s run at the 2026 ACC Championship tournament came to a close today, with the Cardinal falling to No. 8 Florida State 9-0 in the semifinal. The Card moves to 37-13 on the season, snapping a 15-game winning streak.
Florida State opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, scoring three runs to take an early lead. Only two of the three runs were earned, with the third coming home on a throwing error.
The Seminoles added two more runs in the second, then broke through for four in the bottom of the fourth to win via run-rule in the fifth.
The Cardinal is eliminated from the ACC Championship. Stanford will learn its postseason fate on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. PT, when the NCAA Tournament field is unveiled with a selection show on ESPN2.
