WGCA Honors Riley

Inaugural Assistant Coach of the Year award given to Stanford's Brooke Riley

FRISCO, Texas — The Fortinet Founders Assistant Women’s Golf Coach, Brooke Riley, has been named the inaugural recipient of the Golf Pride WGCA Assistant Coach of the Year.

Handed out by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association, the award recognizes a coach whose leadership, preparation, and commitment elevate their program’s performance and positively impact the student-athlete experience.

In four seasons on The Farm, Riley has helped the Cardinal to the best win-loss record in the country, going 507-20-5 in head-to-head scoring. Stanford has more team wins (28) and individual wins (23) than head-to-head losses with Riley on staff.

Her work culminated in a national championship for the Cardinal in 2026, going 129-3 head-to-head, including a perfect 3-0 in match play. It’s the second NCAA title for Riley at Stanford, adding to a trophy case that includes two conference championships and four NCAA Regional titles.
