Aggies Await in ACC/SEC Challenge

Stanford will travel to Texas A&M during its 2026-27 nonconference slate

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Participating in the ACC/SEC Challenge for the first time since joining the conference, Stanford men’s basketball will travel to Texas A&M on Wednesday, Dec. 2. The tip time and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.

Stanford is 1-0 all-time against Texas A&M, winning the only matchup on Dec. 30, 1949 at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California. The Cardinal is 23-22 all-time against current SEC programs, and the matchup will be the first with an SEC opponent under head coach Kyle Smith.

Stanford went 20-13 last season with a 9-9 mark in the ACC, advancing to participate in the College Basketball Crown. Stanford competed in the postseason for the second consecutive season, marking its first back-to-back postseason tournaments since 2012-15. Smith became the first coach in program history to win 20 or more games in each of his first two seasons at Stanford, and he has led the program to a .500 or better mark in consecutive seasons in the ACC as one of just five teams to accomplish the feat, along with Duke, North Carolina, Louisville and Clemson.
