CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — Six Stanford women’s golfers were named to the 2025-26 WGCA All-American Scholar Team, announced this week.
Megha Ganne, Paula MartÃn Sampedro, Meja Örtengren, Anna Song, Nora Sundberg, and Kelly Xu were all honored by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association. Ganne leads the way for the Cardinal with her fourth overall selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team, while MartÃn Sampedro and Xu earn their third. This gives Stanford 38 members on the All-American Scholar Team since the 2019-20 season.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of golfers. To be selected, a student-athlete must:
- Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
- Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
- Have played in 50% of the college’s regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
