STANFORD, Calif. — Stanford cross country is back in action this fall as the 2026 slate was unveiled on Monday. The Cardinal hit the starting line for five regular season meets before the postseason begins at the end of October.Â
The season begins with a return trip up the road to Golden Gate Park as the Cardinal takes part in the annual USF Invitational on September 4 before trekking to the Midwest for the first crack at this season’s NCAA Championship course as Stanford hits the starting line at Indiana State’s John McNicols Invitational (Sep. 19).Â
The Cardinal then begins the annual push to the postseason with an early October showing at the Pacific Invitational (Oct. 2) while Stanford heads back north for another showing at the Nuttycombe Invitational on October 9 in the penultimate race of the regular season. Stanford ends the regular season with a local outing at the Bronco Invitational just over a week later on October 17 in Sunnyvale, Calif.Â
The postseason begins with a third trip to the ACC Championships as Stanford heads out east to Blacksburg, Va. on October 30 while the Cardinal pushes toward the NCAA Championships with an outing on November 13 in Sacramento at the NCAA West Regionals. Should Stanford advance, the Cardinal would head back to Terre Haute, Ind., for the NCAA Championships on November 21.Â
