National Player of the Week

Junior Jaden Thomas has been named IWSOC National Player of the Week

STANFORD, Calif. – After posting a hat trick and adding an assist on the game-winner in Stanford's 4-0 shutout victory at Santa Clara on September 6, junior Jaden Thomas has been named IWSOC National Player of the Week.

The weekly honor is the first of Thomas' career.

The native of Dallas, Texas found the back of the net in the 18th, 27th and 51st minutes to piece together the hat trick and her first career multi-goal match. The hat track, which accounted for each of her first three goals of the season, was the first for Stanford since Jasmine Aikey had three against California on November 3, 2023.

With three goals and an assist, Thomas compiled seven points – the most for a Cardinal player since Aikey had eight points vs. San Jose State on November 11, 2022. She is also the 13th player in Stanford history to record seven-plus points in a match.

The Cardinal is now preparing to vist No. 3 Duke to open ACC play on Sunday at 9 a.m. PT.
