STANFORD, Calif. — The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its complete grid of 2027 football conference opponents on Wednesday morning, with Stanford learning who it will face in ACC play. For the second year, the Cardinal will play nine ACC games as the league continues to shift to a nine-game model.
One notable change to the 2027 schedule is that Stanford will play five conference games, after playing five road games in 2026. Four of Stanford’s five conference opponents are making their first trips to The Farm for an ACC game: Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse, and Virginia.
The 130th Big Game will also take place at Stanford Stadium, with the Cardinal looking for consecutive home Big Game wins for the first time since 2011-17, when Stanford won four straight.
The Cardinal will play four road conference games in 2027, with two repeat trips from previous ACC seasons. Stanford will play at SMU and Clemson, two teams that the Cardinal has already traveled to as members of the ACC. Additional road conference games will take place against Boston College and Florida State.
Clemson is the only team in the ACC with eight conference games in 2027, the first year that only one team in the league will play eight conference games. As such, they must have two Power Four opponents on their schedule to accommodate the 10 Power Four games requirement.
Stanford is on the road this week at Duke before returning home to Stanford Stadium to square off against Georgia Tech on Sept. 26. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT and is televised nationally on ESPN. Tickets are available by clicking the link below.
