STANFORD, Calif. – Bernardo Herzer's career weekend earned him MPSF Player of the Week honors, the conference announced today. Herzer was outstanding in four games at the Overnght MPSF Invitational, finishing with 53 total saves.
Herzer's most impressive game came in the tournament's semifinal on Saturday. The Los Angeles product and USC transfer finished with 22 saves as the Cardinal beat the No. 2 Trojans 10-8.
In the tournament final on Sunday, Herzer made 14 saves as the Card fell just short against No. 1 UCLA, 11-10. Herzer chipped in four steals as well on the weekend to round out the performance.
Herzer is the Cardinal's second conference weekly award winner in 2026, joining Dimitris Chatzis who was named Newcomer of the Week on Sept. 7.
Stanford is back at home on Friday, hosting No. 11 San José State. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. PT in Avery Aquatic Center, with tickets still available at Tickets.GoStanford.com.
