The Opening Kickoff
- Stanford football kicks off the month of October with a road matchup against Wake Forest on Saturday at 9 a.m. PT. The game is televised on ACC Network.
- The Cardinal is attempting to snap a 12-game losing streak away from home, the longest such streak in program history and the third-longest active road losing streak in the country behind Purdue (16) and Ball State (13). Stanford's last road win came in its first-ever ACC game, at Syracuse on Sept. 20, 2024.
- Quarterback Davis Warren is one of three starting quarterbacks in the ACC without an interception (Darian Mensah, Ethan Grunkemeyer). He has opened the season with 143 pass attempts without an interception, the third-longest streak in Stanford history. Davis Mills began the 2020 season with 167 pass attempts before his first interception, the longest streak in Cardinal history. Warren has the most pass attempts in FBS without an interception.
- Wide receiver Caden High had a massive game for the Cardinal against Georgia Tech, hauling in four passes for 121 yards with two touchdowns. It was his third career game with multiple receiving touchdowns and his first at Stanford. He is the first Cardinal receiver to eclipse 100 yards in a game this year.
- Through four games, Stanford has not lost the turnover battle and is +4 in turnover margin. This is the first time since 2018 that Stanford has started a season with four straight games without losing the turnover battle. The Cardinal is third in the ACC in turnover margin and, with just one turnover this season, trails only New Mexico for fewest turnovers in the nation (12 teams are tied with one turnover).
- With turnovers forced every game to begin 2026, the Cardinal is one of 23 FBS programs to record a turnover in all its games to begin the season. Two other ACC programs are on the list: Louisville and North Carolina.
- Matt Rose continues to be one of the best linebackers in the ACC and the nation. The fifth-year linebacker from Brecksville, Ohio, is second in the ACC with 38 tackles through four games, trailing only Anthony Palano of Boston College. He finished 2025 in the top 25 nationally in total tackles and is tied for 13th after four games.
- Stanford earned a pair of weekly awards from the ACC following its Week 4 win. Davis Warren was named ACC Quarterback of the Week, and Matt Rose landed ACC Linebacker of the Week honors.
