STANFORD, Calif. - Chris Ayres, The Matt Gentry Head Wrestling Coach, and his staff have announced Stanford's 2026-27 schedule, including five duals on The Farm.
The Cardinal will host an intrasquad meet on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1:30 p.m. inside Fan Fest prior to Stanford football's homecoming game against Elon.
Stanford will wrestle a minimum of 11 duals and compete in some of the nation's most competitive collegiate tournaments. The Cardinal opens the season on Nov. 1 at the Princeton Open before traveling to CSU Bakersfield on Nov. 13 for its first dual competition.
Stanford will host Wyoming on Nov. 15 for an outdoor dual at the recently renovated Stanford Softball Stadium. The Cardinal will also welcome perennial power Oklahoma State to The Farm on Nov. 22 for a dual in Maples Pavilion.
The Cardinal will take a quick break from its dual schedule to wrestle at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 4-5). Stanford will then head to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the National Duals Invitational on Dec. 12-13 at the BOK Center before wrapping up 2026 at the Midlands Championships on Dec. 29-30.
The Cardinal hosts Virginia Tech on Jan. 10 for its ACC opener. After a trip to NC State (Jan. 15) and Duke (Jan. 16), Stanford hosts North Carolina on Jan. 22 in Maples Pavilion.
The Cardinal will head to Iowa State on Feb. 5, host ACC foe Virginia on Feb. 12 and close out its dual schedule on Feb. 19 at Pittsburgh.
The Panthers will host the 2027 ACC Championships on March 6-7 at Victory Heights Arena. The NCAA Championships will be held March 18-20 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Stanford returns six All-Americans, including 2026 NCAA champion Aden Valencia, to its roster in 2026-27. The Cardinal is coming off its best season in school history, finishing sixth nationally with four All-Americans – both program records.
The Cardinal opens the season ranked No. 7 in InterMat’s dual and tournament rankings. In total, nine Cardinal are ranked to start the season, including seven in the top 10 at their respective weights – No. 3 Nico Provo (125), No. 5 Tyler Knox (133), No. 8 Jack Consiglio (141), No. 3 Aden Valencia (149), No. 7 Daniel Cardenas (157), No. 10 EJ Parco (165), No. 11 Hunter Garvin (174), No. 23 Abraham Wojcikiewicz (184) and No. 6 Angelo Posada (197).
