The Opening Kickoff
- Stanford football closes out the month of October with a road contest against Louisville on Saturday afternoon. The game is televised on ACC Network and kicks off at 12:15 p.m. PT.
- Stanford is 13-6 all-time on Halloween, with its most recent Halloween game in 2015, a 30-28 win over Washington State.
- The Cardinal enters the last week of October 4-4, the first time Stanford has been .500 or better through eight games since 2019.
- In its four wins this year, Stanford is averaging 34 points per game and 485.5 yards of offense, compared to just 5.8 points per game and 233.8 yards of offense in its four losses.
- Stanford has lost 14 consecutive road games, the longest streak in program history and the longest active road losing streak in FBS. Stanford's last road win came in its first-ever ACC game, a 26-24 win at Syracuse on Sept. 20, 2024.
- Against NC State, Stanford had a 300-yard passer (Warren), a 100-yard rusher (Ford), and a 100-yard receiver (High). The last time Stanford did that in a game was 2015.
- Micah Ford ran for 150 yards against the Wolfpack and had 208 yards from scrimmage, his second straight game with at least 150 rushing yards and 200 yards from scrimmage. Bryce Love was the last Stanford running back to do so in consecutive games (2017). He leads the nation in rushing yards over the last two weeks (329).
- Proving to be a versatile running back, Ford is one of four Power Four running backs to have at least 650 rushing yards and 150 receiving yards on the year. With 50+ receiving yards in consecutive games, Ford is the first Stanford running back to do so since Christian McCaffrey in 2015.
- Quarterback Davis Warren is fifth in the ACC in passing yards heading into Week 9. He threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns in the first half against NC State, the first Cardinal quarterback to post that stat line in a first half since K.J. Costello in 2018. He is one of 13 FBS quarterbacks with at least 200 pass attempts and two or fewer interceptions.
- Warren has thrown for at least 300 yards in three games this season, the most in a single season by a Cardinal since Tanner McKee in 2022.
