• Biomechanical Engineering major
• Aspires to be an astronaut and build medical devices for use in space
• Will be working for Boeing this summer
• Interned at Stryker in Arizona the summer after his junior year, taking medical devices used in surgery and turning them into renewable devices to be used again and again
• Spent the summer after his freshman year in Canada at Plasco, a waste conversion facility, using plasma technology to turn garbage into electricity
• Built a high-powered 3-watt portable blue laser from scratch in an engineering class
• Involved for two years with the Stanford Astrological Society
• Volunteered with Project Cure in Arizona, taking medical devices and operating room equipment and shipping them to third world countries
• Eagle Scout
• PADI Certified Advanced Open Water Diver
• IYT Flotilla Skipper and IYT Watchkeeper & VHF Certified

2014-15 (Senior)
• Pac-12 All-Academic first team
• Member of the second varsity eight
• Won three races in his final season
• Placed fourth at the Pac-12 Championships
• Claimed wins over UC Davis and UC San Diego at the Stanford Invitational
• Finished second to Oregon State and Wisconsin at the Pac-12 Challenge
• Took second with the 2V8 in a dual against No. 8 Boston University
• Lost to No. 1 Cal at the Big Row, his final collegiate race at Redwood Shores
• Recorded a fifth place finish with the 2V8 at the San Diego Crew Classic
• Picked up a victory in the open 4+ at the Head of the American, while placing second in the open 8+

2013-14 (Junior)
• Pac-12 All-Academic first team 
• IRA All-Academic team
• Saw time with the 2V8 and 3V8 during the spring 
• Notched a 17th place finish with the second varsity eight at the IRA National Championships
• Finished fourth in the 2V8 at the Pac-12 Championships 
• Posted victories over UCSD and USD with the 2V8 at the Stanford Invitational 
• Tallied second place finishes in the varsity eight and JV four at the Davis Invitational 
• Lost to No. 2 Cal with the 2V8 in the Big Row 
• Recorded a sixth place finish in the Grand Final of the 2V8 at the San Diego Crew Classic
• Lost in dual races against No. 3 Washington (3V8) and No. 18 Oregon State (2V8) 
• Won the Men’s Open 4+ as a member of the Stanford B boat at the Head of the American

2012-13 (Sophomore)
• Pac-12 All-Academic first team choice 
• IRA All-Academic team
• Raced with the Varsity II Eight for the spring season 
• Grabbed third place at the Pac-12 Championships
• Placed sixth in the Grand Final for the Sharp Cabrillo Cup at the San Diego Crew Classic 
• Defeated Santa Clara in head-to-head action at the UC Davis Invite 
• Member of the men’s B group that claimed 10th place at the Head of the Charles

2011-12 (Freshman)
• Rowed with the Frosh Eight that placed 14th overall and second in the third final of the IRA National Championships 
• Member of the Frosh Eight that placed fourth at the Pac-12 Championships 
• Novice eight won the Head of the Lagoon, defeating varsity eights from Sacramento State, UC Davis and Santa Clara in the Open 8 division

High School
• Graduated in 2011 from Concord-Carlisle High School with High Honors, earning the Columbia University Book Award ..
• Also earned departmental awards in calculus, biology, & chemistry and the Rotary Award for Outstanding Citizenship 
• Two-year varsity wrestler (189-, 215- and 285-lb. classes)
• Also played volleyball
• Placed first in 2011 Massachusetts D-II Central Sectionals
• Rowed with Community Rowing Inc. for nine seasons 
• Competed in regattas including the 2009 and 2010 Head of the Charles, the 2009 and 2010 USRowing Club Championships and the 2009, 2010 and 2011 USRowing Youth Nationals
