Max Bergen Season 2007

2010 (JUNIOR): Reserve inside linebacker appeared in all 13 games and finished with 21 tackles...also had one forced fumble in the season opener against Sacramento State...started the first two games of the season against Sacramento State and UCLA in place of an injured Shayne Skov...had a career high eight total tackles against the Hornets and was credited with three solo stops against the Bruins...had 18 tackles over the first four games of the season and chipped in three more at California.

2009 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in all 13 games...saw reserve duty at the "will" linebacker spot and was also a valuable contributor on special teams...all four of his season tackles came in the first three games...credited with two solo stops in the season opener at Washington State...also had solo tackles at Wake Forest and vs. San Jose State.

2008 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Appeared in two games (Washington State and USC) to earn his first varsity letter.

2007 (FRESHMAN): Did not see action.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL DATA: Played both linebacker and tight end at East Stroudsburg (Pa.) High School...was a three-year starter and two-year team captain...finished with 93 tackles and one interception to go along with 12 receptions for 273 yards and four touchdowns as a senior...unanimous two-way first team All-Mountain Valley Conference selection...first team all-area selection on both offense and defense...Central and North Eastern Pennsylvania Top 16 Dream Team as a linebacker...also earned four letters in wrestling...2006 conference champion in the 189-pound weight class...National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athlete...member of the National Honor Society... majoring in science, technology and society.
