Six Women's Gymnasts Selected As Academic All-Americans

Two seniors, one junior and three freshmen honored for excellence in the classroom.

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford women's gymnastics team, which in 2000 had a 3.43 cumulative team grade point average, was honored with six Academic All-Americans. Two Cardinal seniors, one junior and three freshman were recognized by the NACGC/W, which awards Academic All-American status to a gymnast with a GPA of 3.5 or better for the academic year.

Senior Sarah Harding, who was also a Pac-10 All-Academic selection, joins fellow senior Kim Young on the squad. Junior Jenny Wilson, a human biology major, garnered her third Academic All-American honor. A trio of Cardinal freshmen also were recognized for excellence in the classroom - Alissa Cooper, Abby Gair and Jules McCraw.
