Stanford Head Coach John Rittman
Opening Statement: It's just a big win for our program, we got down in the first inning, 1-0, I think our team did an outstanding job of holding their composure against a very aggressive Nebraska team, they run the bases aggressively the hit aggressively they pitch aggressively and I think we did a good job of coming right back out. Dana [Sorensen] wasn't Dana today but she pitched good enough to win and she battled her butt off out there. We really needed the bottom half of the lineup to produce, but overall just a great win for our program. And we know we're going to enjoy this one tonight but we know we have more work to do.

Q. How much of an advantage has the home field turned out to be?
A. I think any time you're able to host a regional it's an advantage. You get to stay in school longer. Any team that's made it this far has quite a bit of travel under them already, but to be in your home town, in your stadium it's an advantage.

Stanford Player Dana Sorensen
Q. You weren't quite yourself today, what was going on?
A. I wasn't throwing the way I have been, this week or last, wasn't hitting the spots the way I would like to. I don't think I had as much jump or pop on the ball as I would have liked. Some days you have that, some days you don't and you've just got to hope that on the days that are bad you can come out with a win in the end.

Stanford Player Kira Ching
Q. You guys are in a part of the tournament now that you've never been in before, is the confidence building?
A. I think our whole team is really confident right now and really focused, our goal has been every year to make it to the Series and we're really focused on that - taking it one game at a time, one pitch at a time, just trying to make things happen.
