Cardinal's newest Assistant A.D. will oversee development staff, annual giving, major gifts and stewardship.

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford University Athletic Department announced on Thursday that Mike Izzi has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Development.
Izzi, who most recently served as Stanford's Director of Major Gifts, will manage the athletic department's development staff. He will also oversee annual giving, major gifts and stewardship.
"The promotion of Mike Izzi to Assistant Athletic Director allows us to reward a very dedicated employee, and keep a very strong and successful development team together," Stanford Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Darrin Nelson said. "Mike has played a major role in the success of Stanford Athletics."
Izzi has been with the Stanford Athletic Department since October of 1991, and served as Marketing Director, Coordinator of Marketing and Promotions, and Coordinator of Football Team Travel before joining the development office in 1996. He served as the Director of Annual Giving from January of 1996 through September of 1999 before assuming his most recent position as Director of Major Gifts. Collegiately, Izzi attended UCLA and competed in track and field from 1981-83.
