Redwood Shores, Calif. - Although strong winds and rough waters have stirred the Stanford shores throughout the week, the Cardinal women are ready for the races this weekend. The Varsity Women's Eight, is looking to hold onto the speed it found last weekend while further sharpening some the racing skills they will need to continue the team's climb in the weekly NCAA rankings.
With seat racing, time trials, and line up switches, the Junior Varsity Eight is eager to show case the results of these changes. Having closed the gap separating their times with those of the V8's in practice, this new line up is ready to discover what they can do when racing another strong VJ boat. The Novice Eight and Varsity Fours are also in new line-ups from last weekend and they too are excited to realize the potential of their crew.
Races will begin at 9:00 am and will continue throughout the day as both the Men and the Women are racing. In addition to Kansas and Oregon State, other schools competing at Redwood Shores will be Santa Clara, UCLA, and Cal. The last race of the day will be at 3:20 pm.
